The Selling Process
Marketing your property |
Preparing the property for sale
Things to consider doing in advance to make your home look as good as possible and make it more attractive to potential buyers. :
- Manicure the lawn to give the property an attractive curb appeal.
- Make sure that the front door looks in as good condition as possible.
- Give the whole house a detailed cleaning to give it that fresh clean smell.
- Make minor necessary reppairs while not overspending. Such as replacing rusty fixtures, broken towel racks, things of that nature.
- A fresh coat of paint inside and out can go a very long way.
- Replace the dirty air filters with new ones. We don't want to give the impression of a poorly maintained home.
- Remove clutter such as appliances from kitchen countertops or excess furniture, remember... you want potential buyers to see the available space and not the furniture.
Marketing and Showing your Property
Attracting and screening potential buyers is a part of the overall marketing strategy.
We may advertise your property on our own and other websites that are designed to market specifically the type of home you are selling.
As responses come in, we will arrange appointments for serious buyers to walk through your home while being a accompanied by their Realtor or by ourselves.
When the showings begin, be sure to always keep your home clean and ready. We will try to give you advance warning before showing your home but it is a good idea to always be prepared anyway.
If people stop by and are not with a Realtor, it might not be the best idea to show them your home. Ask for their names and phone numbers, let us give them a call, and we will make sure that we are with them as they walk your property and that they are actually serious buyers.
